Welcome to Healthcare courses at Kingston University

Kingston University offers a blend of multidisciplinary expertise, a strong commitment to research and a reputation for partnership working, combined with innovation, enterprise, and teaching excellence.

We work in close partnership with NHS Trusts, NHS England, Department for Education and Social Work England. We also work with employers, including local authorities and independent and voluntary health and social care agencies, to ensure all students get the best possible educational experience, enabling them to prepare effectively for the workplace.

What CPD options are available?

We offer a range of workforce development modules, qualifications and bespoke training in leadership, nursing, midwifery, and research.

Post-qualifying degree programmes

Our post-qualifying degree programmes are part-time. You can personalise the qualification by including option modules to suit your professional practice, career aspirations and sector requirements.

 

Undergraduate programmes

BSc (Hons) degree: 120 credits at Level 6

  • BSc (Hons) Healthcare Practice (Top-up)

GradCert: 60 credits at Level 6

  • GradCert Healthcare Practice

  • GradCert Healthcare Practice (Cardiac Care)

  • GradCert Healthcare Practice (Intensive Care)

  • GradCert Healthcare Practice (Neonatal Critical Care)

  • GradCert Independent/Supplementary Prescribing for Nurses and Midwives

Postgraduate programmes

Master’s degree: 180 credits at Level 7

  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practice

  • MSc Healthcare Practice

Postgraduate Diploma: 120 credits at Level 7

  • PgDip Advanced Clinical Practice

  • PgDip Healthcare Practice

Postgraduate Certificate: 60 credits at Level 7

  • PgCert Healthcare Practice

  • PgCert Cardiac Care

  • PgCert Intensive Care

  • PgCert Independent/Supplementary Prescribing for Nurses and Midwives

Funding

You can fund your studies in one of the following ways:

  • Self-funding: Once your application has been accepted you will need to make a one-off payment for your module via our secure payment portal before the online enrolment process can take place.

  • NHS England funded: Your employer will advise you if this is applicable to the courses you are studying

  • NHS Trust / Employer funded: Please agree funding arrangements with your employer prior to submitting your application

  • Postgraduate Master’s Loan: You may be eligible to access a postgraduate loan of up to £11,570 for a full MSc to help fund your studies. For full information, visit https://www.gov.uk/funding-for-postgraduate-study
